July 13 - July 29: Forever Plaid
Cabrini Productions in partnership with Spotlight Theatre Company presents Forever Plaid, a nostalgic valentine to the 1950s, "The Plaids” sing “Three Coins in a Fountain”, “Heart and Soul”, “Shangrila”, "Love is a Many Splendored Thing" and more. This classic musical revue is a homage to the close-harmony "guy groups" (e.g. The Four Aces, The Four Freshmen) that reached the height of their popularity of the 1950s. "The Plaids," a quartet of high-school chums find their dreams of recording an album cut short in an unfortunate death by collision with a bus filled with Catholic schoolgirls on their way to see the Beatles' American debut on ,em>The Ed Sullivan Show. But once in heaven, they are given one wish.... And naturally they want to return to earth to perform the show of their lives and reach musical glory!
